Septmeber Happenings

PHEW! Catching up on the blog is tiring!  Make sure you go to the next page to see June happenings too!  Some reason it didnt show up on the whole page. September was a fun month.  At least for the most part.  Chuck had an easier schedule at the beginning of the month but then had SICU towards the end.  This means he works 30 hours shifts.  It is miserable, but I am sure he is more miserable with the lack of sleep.  The beginning of the month our neighbor had some caterpillars in her parsley, so I took one and waited till it grew into a butterfly.  Here are my instragram photos, sorry about poor quality.

I am just going to do all these instagram photos out of the way because they are obnoxious to do.  Someone please help me figure out an easier way!  Penny started Joy school!  It is a home school pre school.  She was so excited and really likes it thus far.

Here is Holly as a cute as a button!

We also got to go to our very first OSU football game.  Talk about fans!  This place was so crowded and it wasn't even a big 10 game.  We won big so it wasn't the most interesting or intense game but it was super fun!  Some of you know that they have the best damn band in the land, well they didn't disappoint and this game happened to be 40 year anniversary so there was a lot of band people there!

It was also a month of fevers.  First Holly, who finally popped her first tooth, at almost 10 months.  She had on and off fevers for about a week, till she got a big one of 102.  Then Penny got one and then got a cold.  We are ready to start feeling better.  Though, Holly was still happy to splash in the tub, one of her most favorite things to do.
Photo: She may have a temp if 102 but girl is still happy to splash in the tub!
We also went for an Ohio tradition and went apple picking.  It was a lot of fun and though Penny was a goob in the pictures she was really excited to pick the apples and put them in her own bag.  Holly was in heaven.  She loves apples, or eating in general, and just sucked on an apple while Penny and I picked.

Well I think I am for the most part caught up on our daily lives.  Holly is growing and wanting to walk, Penny is learning new things every day.  She fell into  a playhouse outside and she got quite the fat lip. So, she is learning to be more careful.  These aren't the best of pictures but how can you get good pictures of a 3 year old.

Well hopefully i can stay more updated, especially since next month is HALLOWEEN!  Penny is going to be a skeleton and Holly a kitty.  Penny is so excited to show off her costume:)  Until then we will enjoy when Daddy is HOME!  (and not a 30 hour shift)

August Happenings

In August I came home from my trip to Utah.  Stacey was so nice and flew home with me to help with  the girls.  On the way to Utah it was a nightmare.  Penny threw the hugest tantrum in the airport. She was so upset that we checked her car seat and she wanted it back.  Aw, it was exhausting.  Then I thought Holly was going to sleep on the way there, well if Penny hadn't started to cry again I think that would have been the case.  Instead, I had a very wiggly baby to try to keep still for 31/2 hour plane ride till we got to Phoenix.  So needless to say, I was extremely grateful that Stacey came with me.  Shortly after we came back, I had just gone running.  I went to find Chuck and out of habit looked into the bird cage.  It took me a second to realize that our little bird Geppedo was laying on the bottom of the cage.  I got closer and realized his beak was black, and his legs were sprawled.  Then it kind of hit me that he was dead..  It was pretty sad.  We tried to explain to Penny that he had died and will no longer be in the house.  She still doesn't really get it.  We were sad to see a member of our family gone:(
Holly turned 9 Months!  At 9 months here are here stats:
Weight:  19.5 lbs  65%
Length: 26.5 in 50%
Head:  95%
At 9 months she loves to eat.  She loves everything, besides baby food.  She doesn't much care for it, but will eat it.  She likes to feed herself.  She can sometimes wave hello and goodbye.  Says mama and dada.  Cruises around the furniture.  Crawls up the stairs, but cant get down.  Loves to be outside.  Smiles the biggest smiles, cries the biggest tears, and laughs the biggest laughs.  She is a joy and so glad she is here with us.  Her and Penny are great friends.  I am not just saying that.  Penny often asks me if Holly can come play in her room.  She really watches out for her too.  If Holly puts something she isn't supposed to put into her mouth she gets it.  She makes sure she doesn't stick her hand in the toilet, and makes sure she doesn't fall down the stairs.  She is a SUPERB big sister!

July Happenings

In July we celebrated the 4th of July.  Chuck worked on that day, but i decided to take the girls to fireworks and parade by myself.  I, of course, tagged along with some friends.
A few days before we went to the park with Dad.

Holly is always chomping on her fingers or her tongue.
Here we are waiting for the fireworks to begin.  It actually started to rain while we were waiting and I thought they were going to come on the megaphone and say they were cancelled but it slowed to a drizzle right at the right time.  It was so fun for Penny to see fireworks for the first time.  She was in such awe and excitement.  I leaned over to her and asked her if she like it and she said, "Yes mom, baby frog likes it, he loves it mom!"  It got baby frogs approval, so I guess it was a hit!  Holly was miraculously asleep while they were going off.  Silly girl!

 We can't forget baby frog!
We also went home, Chuck went for a week, and I, for 2 weeks. I wasn't the super best at taking pictures but here are some.  We went to the fun park, and had FUN!  Penny's first time on roller skates.

Cute Kelsey was a rock star on roller blades!!

My beautiful sister Paige and cute Adrienne.
 My brother Chad and Eli:)

Look at those cute little skates on those cute skinny legs!

Holly got some grandma time in
I love my nephews Porter and Carter!
My cute niece Kate, she is so sweet!
 Chasers!
 My silly sisters

We also blessed Holly while we were there.  We didn't want a big to do, so we just did it privately at Chuck's grandparents house.  Paige and Jordan ended up being the only family left in the valley when we did it, but that is OK.  Hopefully no one is offended:)

While I was there just me and the girls we went to Salt Lake and saw the Jesus and went shopping.

It was so fun to get to see family.  Here are some random pictures from instagram.  Here is Penny on Yellow Rose, Chuck's family's pony.
