Happy Birthday Penny!

On Tuesday March 20th, Penny turned 2!  I can't believe it, really I can because she definitely has the temperament of a 2 year old.  We didn't do too many exciting things during the day.  The night before I decorated the house with balloons and streamers.  I had balloons all over the floor. When Penny came out of her room the next morning all she kept saying was Oh no! Oh no!  She kept trying to clean up the balloons so I am guessing she was worried about the mess:)  That night was when the real party began.  Penny had just a few of her friends over.  We had a lot of fun and ate a lot of cupcakes!

Mr. Tough Man Talmage!  I thought this photo was so funny because he was so serious.  Talmage is Penny's best friend;) (boyfriend)hehe
A lot of present opening was a group effort.
Her new pet horse! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Burtis!
This was the hit present.  All of the kids wanted to play with it.  Eventually they put the puzzle all back together.

Penny tried really hard to blow out her own candles.  She kept blowing but her little breath is just a little weak.  Maybe next year she will get the hang of it.
Diggin in!  Much different from last year when she was so afraid of getting dirty.
Penny and her gang of friends.  She was really tired by this point because she hadn't had a nap.  She didn't want to take out her binkie, but it is better than a whiny face!
My awesome decorating skills.
All and all I think Penny had a pretty cool birthday.  She got a lot of cool presents and ate some delicious cupcakes, she got to play with her friends and even got root beer in her sippy cup.  What could be better!  I wish I had gotten more pictures of her with her presents.  Babette and Charles got her a cute cowgirl hat that I have yet to get a picture of.  But don't worry guys I will get one:)  She also loves her movie and horse!  Penny has been such a crazy but sweet little girl.  Honestly, I didn't think my patience could ever be pushed so far, but I wouldn't change it for anything.  I know that sounds cliche, but it is the truth.  My life without Penny is like a night without stars.  (I know the real saying is a face without freckles is a night without stars, but to me a night without stars regardless the situation, would be sad.)  She is our little Sun.  We revolve around her, as it should be:)  We love you Penny!  Happy Birthday!!!

And the winner is.....

OHIO!

So we will be moving to Columbus OH in a few months.  We are very excited!  This was Chuck's favorite program and where he felt that he meshed with the people the best.  We will be terribly sad to leave our dear friends, but a new adventure is always fun!  For your viewing pleasure, this is what Columbus looks like.

I feel like I will have access to a lot of things.  It has a great zoo and aquarium, it is up in the top rankings in the U.S.  It is the largest city in Ohio.  I am sure there is more but I need to do more research.  We couldn't be more thrilled!
